Artist's Comments

Date and Time: May 21, 2008 5:37 PM
Camera Model: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT (350D)
Location: SeaWorld Orlando, FL

Comments: An orca falls back into the water after performing an aerial behavior. This was taken in the underwater viewing area. I love the water drops scattered across the surface. Some editing was done to bring out as many details as possible.

Full view is best.

:jawdrop: Amazing!!! What a shot! The clarity is beautiful, and the colours are perfect! I love the shape of the water being forced out of the way of the whale's pecs...
I want your camera ;P

wow, such raw power and weight being forced on the water... it surely looks beautiful! that water movement... wow. what i like even more is that the surface is so light compared to the darker underwater, and the fact the white belly is top-ways and the black is deeper down. amazing shot. (:

I saw this one on Flickr and immediately fell in love with it. What I really love about this is that fact that you have no water haze what so ever from the whale being far from the glass, that is just amazing in itself. Secondly is the brilliant lighting, it's like the whale piercing through the darkness with light. I love the water effect from the whale displacing the water, especially above the pecs.
